FuYu, a highly accomplished artist, was born in 1982 in Linfen, Shanxi, China. He obtained his degree from the prestigious Oil Painting Department of Chengdu Academy of Fine Arts in 2006, followed by further specialisation at the renowned Oil Painting Creation Research Studio of the China Academy of Art in 2009.

Yu is a professional painter whose work embodies a contemporary approach that seamlessly blends vibrant colours with subtle, muted tones. his unique juxtaposition creates thought-provoking scenes reminiscent of enchanting fairy tales.

 Although his work is often classified as "cartoonish," such categorization is simplistic. Fu Yu's paintings poignantly allude to the sense of fragmentation experienced by this generation's childhood knowledge system when confronted with reality, expressing a nostalgic yearning for the purity and clarity of childhood memories. 

Through the artist's introspective lens, he conveys the shrinking personal space experienced by individuals in modern society, as their own pristine sanctuaries diminish rapidly.
